Should I go and audition?

I got selected for a reality cooking show auditions. The audition is on 29th june and in another state. The thing is,I haven't told my parents about it. They're not very supportive when it comes to me going for anything even remotely similar to a chef. I wanted to join a culinary school but they didn't let me,said I can take cookery classes,cook at home etc but no professional degree until I complete college(in a course i even hate to apply for). But I applied to the culinary school before they said that,because the chances of admission are very less and at that time,I really wanted to get selected because its my dream to become a chef,but now,when I don't see any way I could be allowed for it,I was jus thinking whether I should still try my luck. There's an entrance test this sunday. Moreover,I don't know if it is permissible in our community for girls to audition on tv. I would really be grateful if any of you can tell me if I should go forward and test my luck in the test as well as the audition? If so,how do i convince them to send me/take me to another state for the auditions? Please help!
