It depends. But probably he is starting to feel something for you and wants you to figure it out slowly. Usually someone wouldn't do that just out of the blue. I think he is getting feelings for you and wants to get back together, but don't unless you feel the same for him and you find out that he really does feel for you. When he really likes you, you will know and you will feel the same. Hope this helped.(:
