Nut will not loosen on my bicycle?

I have a Paris Sport road bike from the 70's that I recently acquired. The seat needs adjusted, but for the life of me I cannot get the bolt to loosen to raise/lower the seat. Every time I turn it with a 1/2 size wrench, it takes the nut and the bolt in the same direction. Is there any ways I can just get the nut off so that I can adjust the height of my seat? Thank you!

they make headers that will fit stock flanges. but in all reality you wont gain much with headers if you use the stock tiny w pipe that thing has. ran heddman headers and y pipe in my 3rd gen z28, they leaked like crazy, i tried every thing. but ,my 93 z28 has bbk headers and they dont leak at all so you get what you pay for.

My kitten is so mean! If she's not attacking me, she's bouncing off the walls. One problem she has that really gets under my skin is her curtain climbing. When I see her doing it I yell at her at she doesn't even acknowledge me. It's like she's in her own little world. Definitely different than any cat or dog I've ever had. I have to get up every time to go pull her off them. When she sees me coming she bolts and tries to make a game of it. I'm pretty sure she's not deaf cause when I call her (kitty, kitty, kitty) she comes running. Time out doesn't seem to work though cause like 2 minutes after she's out she's curtain climbing again. I just want to enjoy my kitten instead of having to battle with her every day. This is just one of her problems - she has many many more, but I think this one needs fixing first. Please help!

hello a few months ago i bought a 2007 GSXR 1000 with 4k miles on it i put about 1000 on it in those months and it was time to change the oil so i bought royal purple 10w-40 motor oil and a K&N wrench on oil filter. so i changed the oil didn't run into any problems sept getting old filter off no big deal put in 3.5 quarts like manual sayed torqued the oil drain bolt and done rode it around the lot a little then checked oil it was about a half inch above the low line. so 3 days lated i went out for first ride on new oil started it up the fuel injector light came on but when i turned bike off to get manual then back on it didn't come on again i got gas went about 4 miles and when i was in a slight lean my wheel spin oil a lil i didn't think to Much of it but a few seconds after i looked back and i was leaving a huge trail of smoke i cut off the engine asap and pulled over all the oil from my engine was leaking onto the pavement at high rates the oil filter didn't look like it was falling off and the drain bolt was still there i heard no noises or noticed and Performance changes when the oil leaked out WTF happend and how Much money am i looking at to make it go away

kind of a long story but ill give a little bit of a background my mom was a big drug addict and prostitute and alchoholic. always changings bfs and homes. she lost custody of all five of us brothers. i went to live with my dad and grew up in an abusive home so i moved out lived with my mom at 17 and found she was still doing drugs and drinking and she had just gotten out of prison but she wasnt prostituting anymore but she couldnt keep a steady home or bf. i moved 10 times in a year and a half. i moved out and moved in with my fiance. so far one brother i cannot locate cuz his foster parents dont want him to know what his old family is they even changed his name hes about 8 or 9. my second youngest brother his father wont let me see him after i heard he tried killing himself hes about 10 or 11. the brother i found last week is 18 and hes currently going to collage for culinary arts same as im trying to do him and i talk everyday. the brother that worries me the most is my brother thats 16. i got ahold of him last night after i heard that he was having contact via fb with my mother eventhough her rights were terminated and she was illegally talking to him. hes doing drugs and running away and breaking into houses and steals from his own family. i made plans to have him stay the night monday. how should i go about helping him and should i let him know what our mother was like when i lived with her the last two years. he thinks that she will give him everything she promises even tho she cannot even take care of herself and she is dieing from so much drugs. shes had me sell drugs for her and shes offered me drugs and has caused so many problems and pain i dont even talk to her anymore and never will again. and neither will my 18 year old brother but how should i help my 16 year old brother"?

Chef... or biologist?

I am not really sure about the money, but I really recommend becoming a Biologist. When you study to become a Chef, the chances are very slim to become one like Gordon Ramsey, or become the next Master Chef, or something like that. It is more likely that if you put all the money and hardwork in, you would end up working at an Olive Garden, or something like that. There are a ton of chefs out there, but because of the economy, people are not eating at fine restraunts as much, and the chefs who spent so much money are now working in the Kentucky Fried chicken, and places like that. In Biology, the end results are pretty much endless. You could be a Zooologist, a Marine Bioligist (this is what I want to be) a vetinarian, a vetinarian assistant, scientist, science teacher, or start your own petshop. If you are a chef though, you could only be a chef. Just my opinion though.

Airsoft snow wolf m99 trigger parts?

So I took apart my m99 because it was slam firing and it's the sears that aren't working. I know this because I brought it to a shop but they didn't have the parts. Now I'm not sure what the sears are so if someone can describe them that would help. I also know I kinda destroyed these two springs that seem to have held the spring back when I pulled the bolt back. I would say yes and here is why. Lee would be a much better OF then Tyler Colvin who will only pinch hit from time to time. Chris Carpenter could easily replace Gonzalez or Vazquez. I either want to find a culinary school or a degree in foods at a community college. I am moving to Indianapolis soon and the school I found was roughly 80,000 for a bachelors and that was at a culinary school. The other culinary school was roughly 42,000 for a year and a half. All depends on conditions. Very true that basil needs a lot of water, but not all the time, only if it is dry. Sounds like you have root rot which is no good and could start to affect other plants in your pot. Community pots of herbs are all very cute and stuff but the different plants require different attention. You should also make sure your plants aren't becoming root bound. This happens when they grow into a pot and stop having room for their roots. It isn't too bad in the short run but most of these herbs like to spread out. I got my boxer puppy when she was 3 months old and she's been a little scaredy cat since day one (she's now almost nine months). She runs from everyone, she won't go outside and when I do get her out there she"ll bolt back for the dog door or scratch at it till we let her in. She hasn't been abused and we try to give her plenty of attention but she still runs and hides at the sound of anything and everything. When you call for her to "come" she runs to her bed and cowers. She's house trained for the most part but its just getting her to go outside and stay outside that's the hard part. Anyone have any training suggestions? we've tried dog treats too with no success.

For the past week I have not been able to sleep. Thank god it's summer so, i still have the opportunity to sleep during the day. Kitchen shoes for culinary school?

I work in the bakery of my local grocery store and have not found shoes that really love my feet. I am currently wearing cheap tennis shoes and I can foresee horrible feet problems in the near future. I will also be starting culinary school soon and will need an all black, non-slip, water resistant, comfortable shoe. I will be on my feet up to 40 hours a week come August and need something that isn't going to make me cry at the end of a shift or class. I have been to Rack Room Shoes, Shoe Carnival and Academy but the only pair of kitchen appropriate work shoes I liked turned out to be the Mercy Work Crocs.. but I have reservations about the Crocs b/c they are just so darn silly looking. How to remove a trunnion which is stuck in a Frigidaire washer?

I am trying to fix the leak problem from the tub seal of my frigidaire washer. Using resources availble in internet, I was able to remove the inner tub. It took a whole day to remove the inner tub even after removing the 5 bolts holding it due to the buildups. After removing two bolts and a metal plate, I was trying to remove the trunnion to access the tub seals. Unfortunately, it is not comming off. I tried WD-40, hammering, twisting and everything I can think of. This is quite an old washer which has some stuffs (like detergent) turned to a cement. I am wondering why professional guys would do this: trunnion removal. Are there any better chemical than WD-40? Please help me on this. I am very desparate. Thanks.

KX 250 bottom end seized?

When rebuilding the bottom end of my 99 kx250 everything is fine until i tighten the case halves bolts. The transmission spins freely until you put any tension on the case bolts...then it seizes solid. It goes from being able to turn with 1 finger to seized when you tighten the bolts about 1/8". Everything is in correctly as far as the shift drum/forks, and transmission and gears. How common do cases warp? Is there a gasket that needs to be used...im using RTV sealant. I've cleaned,oiled,and reassembled this thing like 5 times...im beginning to hate it. Took me 45 min to take it out of the bike and disassemble...going on 2 weeks trying to figure out the bottom end. HELP

Chevy colorado cooling issue?

I have had a hell of a time getting this truck cooling properly. I put in a new thermostat, that I know will open and close as I tested it before it went into the truck. This is what I did. Removed lower radiator hose to drain fluid. Removed the hose from the t-stat. Unbolt t-stat. Bolt new t-stat in place. Put a brand new radiator hose on. Filled truck up with dex-cool. Now here comes the problem. I left radiator cap off and started engine. Left the engine runnig for 30 minutes. T-stat never opens. The top radiator hose is hot. You can put your finger in the top of the radiator it is hot, however the bottom hose is not hot at all. And seeing as the bottom radiator hose is directly connected to the t-stat, it cant get hot enough to open, even though the temp gauge is over half way up. I have also installed a new water pump and fan clutch. Which I know work, cause if I take the t-stat out and put an empty housing in does the opposite and dosent get hot enough and the computer goes nuts. What the heck am i doing wrong here

What has my Mosin Nagant M38 been fed?

Unfortunately this is the result of using corrosive ammo and not cleaning your gun meticulously! It won't necessarily have ruined the rifle, but it will reduce the accuracy a teense. I've had, and do have several rifles that have suffered this fate. I wanted them anyway, and am quite happy with them the way they are! I have an Enfield #4 MKI that I had a tough time even getting a 30 cal cleaning rod to go through the bore, when I bought it! It shoots fine and is pretty darn accurate! This rifle also had a depression eroded into the bolt face where it had corroded also. I had that built back up and rehead spaced, as I didn't quite trust it the way it was. I'm not sure what the brown flat flakes are. They where also in this rifle! I don't think I'll ever see them in this gun anymore, though! You have done basically what I did, clean the crap out of it, shoot it and clean it again. Now you can enjoy it! :)

Help fast. After calling the emergency vet, i gave my 8-10 pound yorkie 1 mL of h202 to make him vomit?

We gave our 1 yr old yorkie 1 mL (by syringe) of hydrogen peroxide because he got into my vyvanse(adhd) medicine and 1 pill was busted and 1 was missing after counting. The busted pill was everywhere so it was obvious he didn't get much of that but we thought he swollowed another. His heart was beating fast so we assumed he did and gave him the h202. Then I found the other pill so we know at most he got 25% of one 30 mg pill. Now he's acting cracked out and extremely scared. Sitting up (away from us) with his eyes closed. He threw up 1 big time and once small after about 3 mins. His heart is beating hard but not that fast anymore and he won't let me near him. He put up a huge fight while I tried to induce him (gritting his teeth as hard as he could). So hopefully he just blames me for his stomach ache and puking and is ok but I'm way more than worried. also I carried him outside with our other dog who wanted to play. After snapping at the chiweenie, the yorkie sat by the screen door and bolted inside to be by himself.(he normally thinks being outside is like six flags =(. ) sorry for the length but I would really appreciate quick response

Okay both jobs pay extremely well but really only you can choose your path. Instead of asking a bunch of random people you should have this talk with a close friend or family member they know you a whole lot better and there few on it could really help you decide. And in my opinion that's what lifes about taking risks! But if you feel that's to big of a risk then you should go towards dental and maybe after you get that job you could go back to college and study for pastry as well and have two jobs eventually which would lead to some major money for you in the future but that's just my thoughts. Hi my situation is i moved into an apartment then lost my job.I paid a month and halfs security plus months rent up front, i paid full amount for rent the following month plus extra 250 towards the next month . Caliper bolts for 97 4x4 v8 dakota HELP!!?

i have this Dakota 4x4 with the 5.2 and noticed some noise coming from the driver side front wheel so i removed the wheel and saw one caliper bolt (pin) was missing (bottom one) so went to auto part store and bought 2 new ones but for some reason the new pin was too small for the hole but fit in the top one perfectly so i then bought an oversized caliper bolt and still was too small (just needed to be a little bigger) does anyone have any suggestions i could try? i recently heard that dakotas were famous for needing oversized bolts as they get older. do they come in different sizes? i really don't wanna replace the knuckle just for these stupid bolts any help is appreciated thank you

Once you are in one department, usually, you can't switch to another department. Biology would be in the science department, while culinary will probably be in the art and wine department.

The passanger side motor mount looks to me like three parts, the rubber part mounted to the frame, the metal part from the rubber to the block, and another metal part bolted to the block and to the metal part from the rubber part. the metal part that is bolted to the block broke, while the metal part from the rubber part looks fine. Can I buy and replace just this one part or do I need to replace the whole unit? and will this same part of the mount be found on other GM 3400 engines of the same year? thanks.

i don't have much to say other than that you have a lot of single cards in the deck if you can eliminate the cards that are not major or get more major cards that will help put you in a winning position. too many single cards lowers chance that you will draw the cards you need in order to win but if you have multiple of the same cards (4 being max) your odds of drawing them increase. hope i helped a little iv been playing for several years now. you will need more cards.. with red there are several approaches direct damage with instants and sorcery and few creature cards. there is the speed approach where you play small creatures with haste.. etc those are a few red decks are often related to direct damage.

You can major in two subjects at most school, and more than that at state schools if you don't mind taking longer to graduate. However, culinary isn't something offered by schools that also offer biology, and vets study that in vet school after college. You'd need to take the pre-vet classes along with whatever major you choose to have a shot at vet school.

ITouch question-not charging?

my itouch is a first generation. recently it died and when i went to plug it in to charge, all that came up-for 3 hrs straight- is a black background with a battery that has a red sliver at the front and underneath that is a little white lightening bolt. i have tried pressing the home button, the power button, holding them both down, switching chargers, and switching outlets. none of this worked. what it wrong with my itouch and how do i fix it without going to apple?

Is this new? I just got emails and letters about Sallie Mae being the new contractor for my student loans. I thought this was outlawed so that all direct student loans now come from and are totally administered by the government. Now, even though Sallie Mae is not "technically" the third-party lender for federal loans, it's the "administrator" because they outbid other companies? WTF? More government being contracted out? Is this the new Republican congress at work here reversing or modifying the Obama-Pelosi bill or what? Sallie Mae is sleazy. I had a friend who's in debt tens of thousands of dollars in pseudo-direct loans through them and never even got a degree from one of those shady for-profit fashion and culinary corporation outfits. So, I'm the kind of person who likes to work with animals or people. But I like to have control. I'm graduating from a private boarding school a year early and I'm confused on what to major in. Help with Hardware on Horse Trailer?

I have a horse trailer with swing out door with handle. The handle started to rust and the bolt came off the handle and there is no way to close it now. This week I have to trailer my horses into the vet and need to use my trailer. My question is what is the best hardware to use to put the handle back on? I do not want the bolts to loosen and have the door swing open while driving. I have tried researching but cant find any answers. He Calls Me His Best Friend. What Does He Mean?

Ok do my guy friend let's just call him LAA cause those r his initials. Anyway every day at school he will come up to me and say your my best friend in this weird voice. I say uh ok I can live with that and he says just kidding. I have to hear him say it every day and sometimes he doesn't say jk he just says "best friends" in a low creepy whisper voice. I have to babysit a 8 year old boy a 6 year old girl and a 10 year old i need games to play with them?

Questions about college?

I live in north west Indiana, about an hour a way from Chicago. I want to go to college for Culinary, and I hear Chicago has tons of great schools for that. The thing is, I don't understand how you can tell if a college is "great" or "good." What makes it a good school? How do I know if its reputable. I've gone to a few college websites, but all of the schools try to sell themselves, you know? Millions of reasons why you should go there... Can someone give me like, an outline of things to look for. Or what makes a school reputable. Also, how do I know if a school charges out of state fees? I'm so close to Chicago, but still in Indiana.

If that's your dream go for it I love to bake too. A lot of people like cooking but they don't know how try to go to cooking classes or ask friends if you can practice at their house. I think colinary is really good just because they don't think you can do it prove them wrong and then see what they say :) DON'T GIVE UP! I SUPPORT you!

I can pretty much go wherever I want cuz of the GI bill and I want to in the long run be able to work at a 5 star resturaunt or hotel. Wtf happen to my ear. (stretched ear)?

ok so ive been stretching my ears for a while now, i had them up to a inch when i first did them and that was say two falls ago. and i decided to take them out then recently i started stretching them again. well i went form 1/2's to 1 inch in around a month and a day. (dont give me ****, i know my lobes) well as i had the 1/2's i began to tape them everyday. and i got up to 7/8ths. well i took them out cause my tape was messing up, like it would come off the gauge, so i had them out for say 3 days, and i bought inch sillicone double flare, or saddles, which ever. and well i decided to tape them again, (remember the old tape fell off) and in a matter of a day my gauge just kept slipping out at 7/8 and so i put the 1 inch's in and wall laa. no problem. the 1 inchers looked like plumbers tape packaging. (the plastic part) and so i wasnt having it, so i trimmed them down with scissors, and cleaned my lobes and no tears no blow outs, and i put them back in and holy crap, they started throbbing, so i lifted up the plug nothing was wrong, so i figured there just sore, so i delt with the sensation, it would go away, and only in certain spots did it hurt, but to get the moral of my question... i woke up and moved them around, and felt something wet on my fingers, and thought it was just some funk or something and when i came to, i looked at my fingers and it had blood on them, so i went in the bathroom and took it out and my ear was ******! it was bleeding and everything. so i cleaned them and such and now there doing better. but what exactly happen to them? how did it tear when just the other day they were fine til this morning? please help! and only people that know about stretching and body modding only. please.

Vivid dream about something wierd?

Hello everyone :) okay, so this year, i have been having really wierd dreams. In the past, I usually dream but i don't usually remember them. I usually only have one dream a night. But this year, every night, my dreams have been so vivid. Also, i dream a series of dreams every night, which never happened to me before. But last night, my first dream was my usual recurring dream of waking up and getting ready for school, always rushing trying not to miss the bus. Then All of a sudden, i'm at school, doing work, going to ALL my classes, and i actually had to think, cuz i actually thought that i was taking a chemistry test. After school got out, i found myself walking ON a railroad. (I live near a railroad by the river, but my they don't cross paths.) there were leaves all over the tracks wich got stuck to my shoes. When i got home, I ran upstairs, to go put all my books away. When i came down stairs, i found four leaves on the stairs, i picked them up and threw them outside. Then All of a sudden i was at McDonalds with my friends. I ordered a McChicken haha. But whe i was eating it, i pulled out metal springs and steel bolts out of my sandwich. Then I see a blonde guy (my age...17) looking over at me. He had A HUGE red heart shaped box. He gave it to me, and a love letter. It was a letter that confessed his feelings for me since third grade. It was a super long letter, front and back. I have never seen him in my life before. I know this is weird but I'm curious. I'm 18 and I've never had a boyfriend. I've never kissed a guy (except for one time when this kid threw himself on me in first grade, but that doesn't count) and I've never slept with anyone. I'm a good cook (in fact I'm going to culinary school) and I do know how to clean. I'm loyal to my friends and am respectful to adults, even teachers. I usually have kids cling to me begging to play, cry to me, or just enjoy talking/being with me, so I guess I can say I'm good with kids. Sometimes I'm made fun of by other girls for being too motherly. I once had two people fighting while we were working on something so I got annoyed. I turned to them and took the thing they were fighting for telling them to get back to work while saying "I don't care who started this, I'll be the one to end it!" They stopped fighting immediately and one girl said "Dang, you act like my mom!". Since then I've been made fun of. I've always felt embarrassed until my mom said that alot of my guy friend's moms have been asking her to set me up with their sons. I've been told one of the moms wanted an arranged marriage between me and her 22 year old son (which she didn't accept, thank freaking lord). My mom jokes around saying I'm a "Mom's choice" girl. I know I'm heading to college, but I'm asking so I don't repeat the same thing and get insulted there. Should I keep that kind of stuff in a low profile or should I be proud?

I got hired for a job as a line cook at a local country club, I have had no training for this job other than some culinary classes ive taken but my boss does not have a training schedule. We have done banquets and I havnt got home until 1:30 am and I went in at 1:00 pm, they make me close down the kitchen and I end up having to wash a huge amount of dishes, and some of the servers treat me like crap, they always make me change the oil in the fryers, and a woman that I work with is soooo bossy and gets on my nerves.
